SoHo's Most Coveted Table Is Waiting

Elevated American comfort food on West Broadway, where the Lobster Roll alone is worth the reservation hunt.

About Us

The Corner Store's charming exterior with warm lighting.
The Corner Store's charming exterior with warm lighting.

Getting a reservation at The Corner Store is half the thrill. Tucked on West Broadway in SoHo, this American restaurant has earned its 4.7-star reputation the hard way: by putting extraordinary food on every plate. Over 900 reviewers have weighed in, and the consensus is consistent. The room buzzes, the bar fills fast, and the kitchen keeps delivering.

The menu reads like a greatest-hits of American cooking done with genuine ambition. The Lobster & Caviar Roll is the dish people come back for specifically, the kind of thing you describe to friends the next morning. Bar seating is its own experience here, intimate and lively, though it books up quickly. Come with a plan, arrive on time, and let the food do the rest.

This is SoHo at its best: a neighborhood spot that happens to be exceptional. Not a tourist trap, not a hype machine, just a well-run restaurant where the cooking earns every word of praise.

What We Offer

The Corner Store menu is rooted in American classics with enough creativity to make familiar dishes feel like discoveries. The Lobster & Caviar Roll is the undisputed headliner, rich and precise in a way that justifies every bit of the buzz. Beyond that, the kitchen covers serious ground: hearty mains, well-crafted sides, and bar offerings that hold their own against the food.

Bar seating offers a front-row view of the room and a slightly more spontaneous way to dine. Full table reservations are available and recommended for groups or anyone who wants a more settled evening. Pricing across most of the menu is reasonable for the neighborhood and the quality, with a few splurges like the porterhouse for those who want to go all in.

Whether it's a date night, a celebration, or simply a Tuesday when you want something genuinely good, The Corner Store delivers a meal worth planning around.

"Had a lovely dinner here for two of us. Unfortunately, when you come in, if you show up a bit early, there is no place to sit at the bar and have some drinks. They do bar seating which takes up some of the chairs. Once seated, the waitress came over immediately and was very attentive and well-versed on the menu and took time making sure that we would be ordering food that we would like and quantity to be sufficient. The quality of the food was pretty good. The Hamachi had adequate flavor. I highly recommend the Caesar salad as they’re a twist on the Caesar has a great element full of flavor. Do not miss the fries. For entrées we had the French dip where the meat was very tender and the Au juis was a bit on the salty sign, but did not disappoint. Their fish was a bit bland but cooked correctly. Drink selection offered some nice choices with specialty crafted cocktails. It took a long time to get these reservations and honestly, I was expecting to be more impressed given the hype."

"Had a fantastic experience at the corner store when I somehow got a reservation for seating at the bar (can’t believe I still got that reservation in the first place). This place is so hyped and is able to live up to it. Love the vibes and the elegant yet classic feel of the space and food. The sour cream and onion martini was quite unique and the lobster caviar roll was a must. I also really liked the French dip and it’s definitely up there on my list. But that Samoa sundae, omg best thing here and one of the best things I’ve had in a long time. Actually perfect!! Overall, super glad I got to finally experience the corner store and the perfect spot for a date."

"Had a great time here. Everything except the porterhouse was reasonably priced. Everything tasted pretty good across the board as well. However, the Lobster & Caviar roll are to die for. They were the absolute standout of the evening. Excellent service despite having half a bowl of au jus dumped on our shoes and coat from a bus boy slip up. The AGM came over, took care of it, and was very accommodating. Shout out to Ronald A!"

"Wonderful experience. The Martini program is innovative and delicious. All the menu items are phenomenal. Don't miss the pizza rolls, carrot side dish and the lobster rolls. The star of the night was the Samoa cookie sundae!"

"First of all, the hoopla! So difficult to get a reservation. I stumbled on the website alert system at the right time, glitchy as it was. Waited around 15-20 min to get seated at 9:30pm. Was falling asleep during the meal. For a reservation this difficult to get, I thought it was going to be near heavenly…unfortunately if fell a bit short of expectations. I would say everything was slightly better than if not average…maybe the lobster roll was my favorite. French dip..ok..Caesar salad ok. Dover sole at $90! - just ok. The sour cream onion martini was just dill infused gin. Dessert was salty sweet softserve which was good, samoa Sunday. Overall nothing worth screaming over. I wouldn’t try that hard to come back. Everyone there looked like they wanted to be seen. Whereas I would go back to Don Angie, 4Charles, not sure the meal was that memorable and I’m no longer curious about this place. Americana vibes, but not as well ordained as the Polo Bar. I wasn’t blown away by anything in particular. Waiter was very nice, service was very good. I just wouldn’t break your back but if you had time to wait you should come before it opens."
